I am Ashley Kukulski, the founder and maker behind Evermore Paper Co. My line consists of greeting cards and paper products that are characterized by modern papercut designs. I started Evermore from my home studio in Chicago in August 2013 as a way to express myself creatively and live more intentionally by doing something I truly loved. My trials with paper led me to the papercut process and I became fascinated with the texture and depth that resulted from layering pieces of paper. I love how each card feels like a work of art and, when combined with the words written inside, something to be treasured.
THE PAPERCUT PROCESS
I am a visual person who enjoys taking mental snapshots of the beauty around me. I am especially drawn to patterns, nature and Scandinavian design and enjoy combining these elements in natural colors throughout my work. I often carry my sketchbook with me so that I can draw whenever inspiration strikes. Once perfected, each design is cut individually into recycled paper by machine and attached by hand to a folded card using a little adhesive and lots of love. Due to the intricacies of the papercut process, all of my items are produced in small batches to ensure that the quality and aesthetic of each is met with the highest consideration.
