PREHISTORY HAKUIN-VERLAG

The hakuin publishing was founded in the year 2010. The publishing project understands itself as a plattform for young art. Youth cultural movements like the skateboard- and graffiticulture have formed the editors in their progression as photographers/artists from their childhood on and is now the ideational fundament of the publishing house.

Since the formation of Hakuin-Verlag the project has been grown in little steps, but continuously.

Now a further step: A book serie / magazine as a coffee-table book with contemporary art, photography and literature with a circle of two issues a year, called Hakuin-Airlines.

CONTENT OF HAKUIN-AIRLINES

The starting point is an interest for contemporary art as well as questions relevant to the society.
Every issue has a specific theme, for exemple youth culture, drugs, destruction of the environment, city development or love. To those subjects artists get invited to compose an oeuvre. Further on a fashion work and reports to the topic will be realised.
The language is englisch and german.
